Birds of Prey at Trabolgan Holiday Village Co Cork

The Trabolgan Bird of Prey Educational Centre

The Trabolgan Bird of Prey Educational Centre, located up on the golf course, offers the chance to learn about birds of prey and raises awareness of indigenous species and the environmental issues they face.

On your visit you’ll see our beautiful birds from around the world such as falcons, hawks and owls – including the world’s largest type of owl and one of the smallest. Visitors return year after year to chart the progress of our resident birds as well as meeting the many guest birds of prey we care for from time to time.

Residents of Trabolgan can take advantage of our ‘just pay once’ gold wristband which allows unlimited entry for the duration of your stay.

For a truly memorable souvenir of your time at Trabolgan, pose for photographs holding an owl in our photographic studio. ‘Lucy’, our Little Spotted Owl, loves having her photograph taken with younger guests, while our magnificent European Eagle Owls are firm favourites with those who dare!

For detailed information visit the Bird of Prey Website

*Fly your own Hawk

We also offer a hawk flying experience, but places are limited and booking is essential, so plan ahead to avoid disappointment. All flights are weather dependent, and age and height restrictions apply.
The centre is run by state licensed falconers with many years of experience in the handling, training and flying of birds of prey.

Kayleigh's Sanctuary for Exotic Pets

For something different, Kayleigh's Sanctuary for Exotic Pets is also housed within the Centre and is home to a variety of different species including Bearded Dragaons, Giant African Land Snails, Snakes from all over the world and the fabulour "Karma" the Chameleon plus many other special guests!
