Sea kayaking and Zip Wiring. How about Trabolgan
Trax, a state-of-the-art Go-Kart track designed
for safety as well as thrills. Located beside
our abseil tower, this hillside track boasts seven
exhilarating bends and straights. The sportscar-styled
single seaters have adjustable seats and are suitable
for approx 11 year olds upwards, while the double
seaters can accommodate an adult and child; subject
to height restrictions, children as young as 5
years old can participate. All Trabolgan Adventure
Sports are supervised by professionally trained
and fully qualified instructors, so why not be
brave and take the plunge?
Abseiling – Learn
to make a controlled descent on our purpose built tower
in a friendly group environment. Dress for the weather.
No sandals or platform shoes please. Long hair needs
to be tied back and all jewellery removed before the
activity. Helmets and harnesses are supplied, as is
instruction and supervision by fully qualified instructors.
Minimum age for this activity is 6 years old. There
are a maximum of twelve participants allowed (where
two participants abseil at a time) per 1 ½ hour
session. The price is €7 per person per session.
Climbing – All TAS
activities are designed to be an introduction to the
activity for people who have never tried it before.
On a climbing session at Trabolgan you will learn some
of the basic skills and techniques needed to climb.
A climbing session is a fun activity based on reaching
your own personal goals. Dress for the weather. No sandals
or platform shoes please. Long hair needs to be tied
back and all jewellery removed before the activity.
Helmets and harnesses are supplied, as is instruction
and supervision by fully qualified instructors. Minimum
age for this activity is 6 years old. There are a maximum
of twelve participants allowed (where two participants
abseil at a time) per 1 ½ hour session. The price
is €7 per person per session.
Zip wire (Also known as
‘flying fox’) – This is a ‘pay
and play’ activity, meaning that this activity
will be open during certain times and there is
no pre booking facility. You can arrive during
the open times and buy your ticket to go on the
zip wire then. Clothing requirements are the same
as Abseiling and Climbing. The minimum age for
this activity is 6 years old. The price is €7
per person for one go on this exciting adrenalin
rush activity.
Quad biking – This
is also a ‘pay and play’ activity.
We run two age groups for quad bikes: 8yrs –
11yrs on one track and 12yrs – 17yrs on
another track. This activity is designed to be
a skills course rather than a racing track. Participants
are taught to negotiate the track in a controlled
and skilful manner. The age restrictions are strictly
adhered to, as are the clothing requirements.
Long trousers, long sleeved tops and closed shoes
(no sandals or platform shoes) are required. Helmets,
goggles and gloves are supplied. The price is
€7 per person per six minute go on the bikes.
Archery – Designed
to be a fun introduction to this sport. Everyone on
this activity should be able to hit the target comfortably
by the end of the session. Long sleeved tops and closed
shoes are required for this activity. The minimum age
for Archery is 8yrs and the price for this 1 ½
hour session is €7 per person and there is a maximum
of twelve participants per session. (Groups of 4 participants
play in rotation)
Aeroball – A very
energetic activity that is great fun. A cross
between basketball and volleyball on a trampoline.
You have to try it to understand it. Long trousers,
long sleeves and closed shoes are essential for
this activity. A maximum of twelve participants
are allowed and the minimum age for this is 6yrs
old. The price for this 1 ½ hour session
is €5 per person. (Groups of 4 participants
play in rotation)
Snorkelling – Held
at the swimming pool, this activity takes place at 9.00am
on scheduled days. The session lasts 1 ½ hours
and there is a maximum of twelve participants per session.
All participants must be able to swim confidently before
attempting this activity and have a completed medical
declaration form (issued at time of booking) with them
at the pool or they will not be allowed to take part.
You must bring your own swimming costume and towel.
You will need €1 for the locker (this is refundable).
Snorkels and masks are supplied. The minimum age for
snorkelling is 8yrs. The price for a snorkelling session
is €7 per person.
Karting – This is
a ‘pay and play’ activity with single
seat karts and double seat karts available. If
a child is too small to be able to fit properly
into a single seat kart then an adult can drive
them in a double seat kart. There is a height
restriction and not an age restriction for the
karts, but as a rough guide, 11yrs old would be
about the minimum age that could fit into our
karts. Goggles are provided and we recommend long
trousers and long sleeves to drive in the karts
but the minimum clothing requirement is for shorts
and
t -shirt. Closed shoes are required (no sandals
or platform shoes). The price is €7 per kart.
Each Go kart session has approx. 5 minute duration.
